Internet poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pony’s up cash equal to your ante and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
