Web poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players receive 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the bet comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the original bet. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The house pony’s up cash equal to your bet and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
