Poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers receive 5 cards. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes directly to the casino. After the bet is the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with an amount in accordance with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money even with your wager and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
