Internet poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the dealer announcing "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the wager comes the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including an amount equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays cash even with your ante and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
