Annie Duke might not have won her 1st WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she is one of the most feared poker players around the ring matches at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.
While players from the "younger generation" of poker run wild following a huge win at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mommy" to her 4 children. She was born in New Hampshire and grew up in a family of poker players. If you do not accept that, check out her brother, Howard Lederer, in action, Howard taught Annie how to play the game.
However, Annie Duke is no small change girl and has won her cut of challenging games, which includes knocking out Howard a few times on numerous occasions.
Earning well over $3 million in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a advisor to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wished to develop his abilities and become a power player at the poker table.
You might just encounter her at the Bellagio, you will catch her on TV and you might even play against her in an internet poker game, but don’t expect an easy win. Unless you’re a rising star, you won’t beat her. However, it would be fun to say you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
