Web poker has become world famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous types on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the dealer announcing "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players are given five cards each. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or accede. The call bet’s value is equal to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with an amount on par with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The house pays out money even with your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
